The last workshop of 2019 will be on this weekend in Almonte. Mermaids and angels will be the theme. What a pleasant way to finish off a great year. The people of Almonte are so creative, I hardly have to coach them to get some great results.
It has been an exceptional year for me, between the workshops and the shows. I want to thank everyone who has supported me through this year and I hope to see you again next year to create something new for your garden.
For those of you that are slightly experienced, I can show you how to do nudes :) Also I have been experimenting with some other materials and have found some that will give a wonderful texture (and some that don't) to your piece. New poses and creatures are also in the works. Dogs anyone?
Next up is a parent (or grandparent) and child workshop at the Sheridan Nursery on Highway 7 in Markham on January 2 from 1-4. For just $90.00, the kids will do a small bird that is quite manageable for those 8 and older, and adults will do a larger (a bit more sculpted) bird using the same techniques. They will both turn out spectacular and bragging rights will be for the kids when they are displayed in your garden next year. Also watch for one at the Sheridan Nursery in Whitby in the new year.
I want to thank Sheridan for their support and the opportunity to work with them. They have wonderful workshop areas, a fabulous greenhouse that we will use to make bigger statues, and great products in their store area. (I get some great ideas from just browsing through their shop)
So keep watching for the posts and I hope to see you in the new year.
Happy Holidays
